Chemicals and additives can be found in the air that we breathe and a large amount of the food that we eat. It’s hard to avoid environmental toxins from pesticides and traffic pollution and preservatives in food. These toxins can also have a negative affect on our dog which can cause sensitivities.
Some sensitivities in dogs can appear out of nowhere but may have built up over time. Common sensitivities most often result from an immune overreaction to environmental toxins but can include fleas, mites, seasonal pollens, fungi and numerous others which cause your dog to itch, bite and scratch. Most commercial dog foods contain additives and preservatives with very little levels of nutrients and balanced essential fatty acids. Symptoms of a food sensitivity are scratching and itching of the ears and paws and a poor digestive system.Â
As with any of the above sensitivities, it is important to find the trigger and avoid or eliminate it to offer relief. In some cases, such as house dust mites, this avoidance may be impossible. Medication is sometimes necessary to help but not a long term solution as it can cause other health problems.

For dogs pre and post operation stop feeding 5 days prior to anaesthetic. Please check with your own vet first if your dog is taking any medication as herbs can sometimes affect their absorption.

Ingredients:
75% cold pressed culinary grade flaxseed oil
25% herbal tincture blend consisting of:
Nettle: A powerful adaptogen and a rich source of phytonutrients; chlorophyll, sterols, polyphenols, lignans and gallic acid. Nettle contains the flavanoid quercetin to support itch free skin. Aids circulation and kidney function. Contains iron, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, vitamins A, C K and B.

Feeding guidelines:
Shake well and feed 1ml to every 2kg of dogs weight with regular food once daily. (10kg dog would be 5ml).
If you would like to feed Skin & Coat with another of our oil based products, we suggest alternating daily. However, this will depend on the level of support that your dog needs. This product can be used on the same day as Tummy Tastic powder pre/probiotic and Keep off Me! tincture, but must be fed at different times of the day, in different meals.
Store in the fridge once opened and in a cool, dark place prior to opening. Every bottle lasts 8-12 weeks when stored in the fridge after opening so please ensure that you purchase the correct sized bottle for your dogs weight. Batch and expiry date are shown on every bottle and shelf life is a total of 18 months.
Proflax products can safely be used long term, however, we would suggest that if you are feeding only one product only on a daily basis that you feed for no longer than 90 days and then take 7 day break. This short break allows the body to have a rest period from the same supplement, allowing your dog to get the very best from the supplement. However, if you are feeding more than one Proflax product in rotation, a break period is not considered as necessary.
